DMS usage in Project Systems

Hi Experts,

Am working in PS module. Our client is implementing DMS module also in the current project.

I would like to know in what way i can use DMS in PS module. If there is any integaration involved, please suggest and advise.

hi kabir,

yeah u can use DMS integrated with PS in many transactions affectively.

like CJ20N - project builder , CJ02 - creation of simple document , etc. U can aatch documents directly for processing with objects.

U r required to do integration form DMS side. U need to do object linking like WBS (PRPS), resources, etc. with particular doc type.

Can you enlighten me with object linking with particular document type? Is this done from DMS side or PS module? Please advice.

Hi Kabir,

for particula document type (dc10) there is one tab on left side wherein u can select object (WBS-PRPS) with screen no & some options. Once u link object u can go to PS transaction in addtional data u can create simple document / link existing document / create document with transation (this depends uopn option selected in object linking tab.

This configuration shud be required to be done from DMS side. if u r using third option of creating document with transaction (cv01n), u require to give authorisation for the same to PS user.
