Hello Balaij,

are you really sure about the size? Really GB? Not MB?

Hello Balaij,

in this case I would recommend to open a message at SAP. The AL* files are the download of the CCMS Shared Memory into text files (e.g. ALMTTREE contains the complete structure of the shared Memory Segment as monitoring objects, thresholds and other configuration) and should not exceed some megabytes.

You could check if the problem persists after stopping the instance, deleting the files and restarting the instance. If you want to ask SAP to analyze the problem it could be helpful to save the files (e.g. using SAPCAR so the file will not that big).

Regards, Michael

Hi,

It looks like CCMS agents are pulling lot of moitoring information. You can control the size of the monitoring files by turning-off segments(unnecessary segments in your landscape eg. Webservices, EJB etc) in monitoring framework.

refer to this note: 1094029 which explains the process.

hope this helps,

Kalyan.
