To all PS consultant
Please see below a complication with PO raised against the WBS account assignment.
The Project is in Technically Completed status (TECO).
When TECO'd a project prematurely and then UnTeco'd it to make amendments this has caused problems. so we have stopped this practice. The reason is that it impacts on settlement of project costs to the Assets module.
Instead of settling the capital expenditure to the relevant Asset where the adjustment described above has taken place it has settled to Assets under Construction (AUC) which is not the correct accounting result on the balance sheet.
This clearly causes both Assets and Procurement with an issue.
Can it be possible to change Purchase Order (which is assigned to WBS element and it's status is now TECO) without cost settlement to AUC (Asset under construction), we want cost settlement directly to Asset without UNTECOing the project.
Could you please guide on this.

If you have final asset settlement rule and also initially you had AuC, then the best option for you is to use partial capitalisation option when carrying out settlement
