Doesn't anyone use file repositories and at the same time back them up?

I know the structure of the configuration files. What I need is a statement saying what I need to back up in order to be able to restore... when using file system storage.

If you're using the filesystem as repository the you just need to take a backup of the filesystem.

That is also what I expect. But if you need to backup and restore the some of the files comes with the installation and some of the files come from the backup. Which files should I leave from the installation and which files should I use from the backup.

I'm looking for a guide which describes the procedure.

Hi,

I'm assuming you using MAXDB for your content server. If yes, follow the below link for detail information on MAXDB maintenance.

https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/maxdb

Hope this helps,

Kalyan.

The case is that I'm using File System storage and not MaxDB
