Hi,

We are maintaining external number ranges for equipment master, i have given 'A-ZZZZZZZZZZZZ' like.But system is not allowing to enter"."(Ex--MOTOR7.5KW0001).Is there any way?

give FROM A to ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.

here if you mention special char like . system will not allow..

Only the characters A to Z as well as - and / are allowed in this field. Change your entry accordingly

Hi Kalyan,

From your query it seems that you given the external number range as

From To

A ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

In the above case, only alpha character will accept, it will not accept numberical figure.

To accept, alphanumeric you have to define, the position at which the alpha, numeric and any special character as below:

From To

0000000000000S1000 0000000000000S4999

hope it will be clear for you. Try as explained above, it will work.

Try to maintain the number range as "AAAAAAAA-ZZZZZZZZ" and then try as you said

in your thread what is the numbr you have mentioned for external profile it is only MOTOR7 or collectively as enteredif collectively the system will not allow ,try to enter MOTOR7 only and check
