Graphical screen editor

Hi ,

I am not able to start the Graphical screen Editor in SAP 4.6c.

I have 7.10 SAP GUI version.Patch level 0.

OS of Desktop is Windows XP.

I could find all the required files in the SAPGUI folder like:gnetx,gneux ,emufcdll.dll,and many of the euspd files (About 20 of them).

When i just run the GNEUX file from the SAPGUI folder it is opening Graphical Screen Editor but when I start it from SAP it goes till loading the Graphical Screen Editor then it returns saying that start the Graphical Screen Editor not available .continue with Aplhanumeric editor.

As I understand i think GNETX will call GNEUX which is not happening .

Can any one please help on this .

Hello,

We had a similar issue and we resolved it by making sure the SAP Router has "allow" entries for port 33nn (nn = System Nr.)

Hi Beradze,

I have already gone through that thread.

That is the reason I mentioned that all those files are available.

I still need to check the port what is suggested by Roger Vier.

Anyway now the status is that:

We are able to start the graphical Screen Painter in using the same front-end for other systems like.

I have one 4.6c system where graphical screen painter is not working.

Other one is ECC6 where I am able to open the Graphical screen painter using the same Front end.

Now can we say that it is not the problem with GUI as the same GUI is used to start the Graphical screen painter in ECC6 .And also Memory can not be the reason .

We found one SAP Note: 932188.

37 527 Graphical Layout Editor not available. Continue with alphanumeric editor.)

So I think this is related to the System version and patch level issue.

The above mentioned issue is resolved in Basis patch 59.

My system is running on Basis patch 50 (4.6c).

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Verify if port 33XX (XX=system number) are permitted on file service of the server (SAP WebAS).
