hi friends

we can create site by t.code WB01 but if u go by path

i find it in IMG --ENTERPRISE STRUCTURE --DEFINATION

AND IN SAP MENU ---LOGISTIC --SD -- MASTER DATA

in R/3 we can't to this kind of stuff either only in SPRO or in SAP USER MENU

my question is what is logic and uses there is two path in IMG and in USER MENU

Hi Hanumant,

please be careful!

SAP ERP Retail and SAP ERP are delivered in the same system.-> If you start your IMG without Retail customizing project or you call the standard menu S000 you are able to find BOTH possibilities.

You can create Standard plant if you are working in a SAP ERP.

If you are working in SAP ERP Retail, you should always create the STORES via WB01.

reason is, that in Retail behind the pure customizing tables alos business specifc data will be created. And this is possible only with WB01.

Of course in a RETAIl IMG some customizing settings are possible.

Please use the menu W10T as starting menue

Hi Björn

I am trying to create a generic article and i get a message saying "You can maintain only reference sites for generic articles"

I go to the Tcode WSS1 try to give ref site, it says "referece site is not maintained properly"

Is there any specific steps to create a referecne site or i create a site in WB01 and use that as reference site?

Does the site profile need to have a reference site??

referece site can be used for all transactions or it should be used only to maintain the details??

well i complete one project with SAP R/3 -ECC 6.0 ( in manufacturing company )

but now i have to handle IS-Retail project (for books industry ) i don't know the details and basic functionality @ Retail and i am trying to learn what ever the material get from web -sites

and my basic role in that project is to handle Sales and Distribution part

can u please help me regarding that

Hi Hanumant Nimbalkar,

I saw you have asked a lot of IS-Retail issues.

Apparently you are frustrated for acting as a retail consultant, as there's huge difference between SD and IS-Retail.

The best way at the moment for you is not asking those basic questions in SDN.

I suggest you download the IRT100 course (it's called 'SAPIRT' now, don't ask for it in SDN) from internet and finish the course, it will answer most of your IS-Retail questions.
