Hi,

I have managed to install SAP GUI on a linux machine.

How do I create an icon to execute instead of opening a terminal screen and typing "./guilogon"?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

on Linux the installer of SAP GUI for Java creates a shortcut in the KDE or Gnome menu.

You can move it to your desktop.

Hi Rolf-Martin,

Thanks for your reply.

I'm not able to find the shortcut in any of the menu. Could it be in some folders somewhere?

I'm running Ubuntu 8.10.

hi sisab,

You can right click on your Ubuntu Desktop, and choose "Create Launcher"

Choose Application Type

Filled name - for example - "SAPGUI"

Browse Command - look for "guilogon" command

Then click OK

That's all

Hi Ardhian,

Thanks for the reply.

I've tried that. An icon was created on the desktop and when I double-clicked it, nothing happens.

For "Type", I've tried both "Application" and "Application in Terminal". Both with the same result - nothing happens.
