Hi Everyone,

Is there a way for me to have a snyc connection given that my mapping is a two step? Because when I try to activate my interface mapping, it doesnt allow me because I have a sync message interface in it.

Thanks

You can have 2 mappings in sequence in interface mapping but 1:n or n:1 mapping can not be specified for sync interfaces.

Thanks,

Beena,

Thanks for the answer

To give a background of what Im doing, the first mapping converts an IDOC to an XML. After that, an XSL mapping will transform it to XML string. What I want to do after that is have a sync connection with our trading partner to get a response back from them. But IR says it is not possible to have sync interface in my interface mapping.

With that, is it still doable?

Thanks

Yes, You can have only asynchronous communication with IDocs. To map the response back, you will have to use bpm.

Thanks Beena

Has anyone tried to do a two step mapping for a synchronous interface? So far IR wont allow me to do it.

Thanks
