Rithvika,
Its not very good practice to use ext number range for invoices or accounting documents as these are legal documents.
Still discuss this with your FI team
In case you decides to go for ext no range,With the help of your ABAP person try using USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE {Pool SAPLV60A, program RV60AFZZ}

Dear Rithvika,
Try with this User Exit
USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE (Module pool SAPLV60A, program RV60AFZZ)
The internal number range used in the standard system is specified in the billing type table and can be changed in this user exit. This user exit is only called when the billing documents is created.
I hope this will help you,
Regards,
Murali.

Hi,
I think that is possible by using user exit & some Ztables only.
USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE (Module pool SAPLV60A, program RV60AFZZ)
The internal number range used in the standard system is specified
in the billing type table and can be changed in this user exit. This
user exit is only called when the billing documents is created.
Hope this is useful..
