Depends on the communication protocol you want to use:

- ABAP Proxy: one Integration Server at a time, since you need to map the IS in SXMB_ADM;

- RFCs & IDOCs: since each communication interface may have its own port / destination, you can connect to several XIs.

However, if you consider SLD, you'll see that for each group of systems, only 1 IS can be associated.

So, that indicates that one XI per landscape is the more recommended solution.

Hi,

Yes , we have to connect R/3 system with Two XI systems ,if we want to communicate R/3 with both XI systems directly.

Hi:

Thaks for your answer.

If my scenario is about idoc,we can define two RFC in SM59, and two partners in WE21 and two ports in WE20,right?

If my scenario is about abap proxy,then we can define two RFC in SM59,and two parameters in sxmb_adm in the R3 side,right?Then in the tcode:SPROXY,we can see both interfaces in two XI systems,right?

No, as per my message above, for ABAP Proxies you can just define 1 Integration Server at a time.

Hi,

of course this is possible.

A rfc points to a single XI, but you could have another rfc pointing to another XI.
