Dear Experts,
What is the function of iPPE Relationship in Project profile.
Performance is showing
If you activate this indicator, the iPPE-PS tab page is displayed in the Project Builder in the detail screen for the WBS element and network activity.
Can any one explain me? What is the use?
Regards
Chandra
As of ECC 6.0 you can assign material componet to network activities via ippe.
Using the iPPE ( Integrated product & process engineering ) you can enter the further process master data of multivariant products in a model for engg & production.
perticularly when you are developing new products, parallel to the production structure creation, It can be ampped with projects.
For this purpose you can link between iPPE nodes & variants to WBS elements or network activities and then switch between iPPE (Product Designer txn PDN ) & PS ( Project builder ). We can make thisassignment in both in product designer details are of nodes or variant on the PS tab, and in Project builder in the detailed screen of WBS or activities on the IPPE- PS tab. This tab is only available if you set this iPPE Proj. Rel. indicator in the project or network profile in SPRO.
The assignment can also be automatic via reference point. We can define teh reference point in SPRO--> PS > Material>Intergration of PS & ippE.
After assigning iPPE objects to network activities, materail can also be transafered from iPPE product structure to SAP - PS.

Hi,
It is related to portals , SAP Enterprise Portal offers companies a Web-based platform that allows
employees, vendors, business partners, customers, and investors to collaborate
with each other. Using the Enterprise Portal, you can access internal and external
information, as well as applications and services that are relevant to your role
within your company. mySAP Product Lifecycle Management and mySAP
Enterprise Resource Planning provide you with Business Packages to help you
set up your portal. The Business Package for projects contains short programs
(iViews) that you can use to retrieve data from projects and to compile content
pages for your portal.
The work area of the Enterprise Portal comprises a title area and a number of pages.
The title area contains the company's corporate header, search and personalization
options, as well as a navigation panel with various tab pages. The pages on the
tab pages themselves can be either Web pages or different iViews. The iViews
are not completely separate from each other; they support detailed navigation and
exchange data with each other. For example, the Master Data iView shows the
data for the object that was just selected using the Project Structure iView.
