Why the SAP user can't use the Tx

Former Member

Hi Friends,

I have created a new role. Afterwards I added two Tx 'omh6 ' and 'omi2' in this role.

I assigned the role to use ABC and executed 'User comparison'. But ABC can not use the two Tx.

System prompted: 'Yare not authorized to use this function'.

Did you have the same experience? How to solve it?

Thanks!

Jason

Hi,

Following things to be checked in transaction PFCG:

1. Under tab USER have you done User Comparison.

2. Under tab Authorization go to u201CMaintain Authorization Data and Generate Profile u201D have you generated the profile by clicking on Red and white button or press Shift+F5 to generate the profile.

Go to Tcode SU01. Check out the roles have been assigned to a user or not.

Thanks,

Hi, Kaleem,Nitesh Jain and all friends,

Thank you very much for your kindly reply.

I will try my best to solve this problem according to your suggestions.

I have to learn how to use ST01.

I will post the solution here.

Thanks again!

Hi Friends,

I know the reason now.

Client 300 is our QAS.

Client 600 is our PRD.

We overwrote 300 with 600 via SCC9.

But the 300's pach level is lower than 600.

So some TX we can use in 300.

Has anyone ever experienced?

I want to prove it.

Where to begin... You should not have an environment where your QA system is a different patch level than your PRD system, Actually you're lucky that the refresh finished properly.

Anyhow you should work in having a uniform environment.

Hi,

With different SP levels between QAS and PRD, it means that your quality system is useless.

What you qualify on QAS is not guaranteed to run on PRD...

Hi,

just check SU53, User Authorization check after you try to execute these TX,

May be some of the object must be missing to that TCODE.

Hi,Chaitanya Gulabsi

I have checked SU53. The result is:

'The last authorization check was successful.'

Hi, Kaleem

I have created and generated the profile for the role.

Btw, I tryed to use 'SU24' to search which objects I lack.

But SU53 tole me I lacked nothing. That is the reason I am confusing.

Jason,

Agree with you that's confusing....

You have created a single role, assigned the correct paramter values to the Auth objects, generated the profile, assigned to user ABC, did user comparison, but the user is getting auth error...

Sometimes SU53 does not gives the results...can you run a trace on the user through ST01... and check what is happening in the backend.... are there any other objects being called, like maybe and RFC object or an Spool object etc....
