Hi, Gurus,

I want to proceed Client Copy with SCC9.

The jobs defined with all users will be copied from the source Client into the destination Client?

Thank you in advance!

Jason

Jason,

As far as I know a client copy will not copy jobs. You will need to recreate the jobs manually. If there is another way of copying jobs between clients I am not aware of it.

Jason,

When you go into SCC9, the target client is the client you are logged on to. You will see a description of the client right next to "Target Client".

If you choose the profile "SAP_USER", all SAP users and authorization profiles from the source client will be selected.

The english for the source client is a little confusing. It says "Source Destination". What it means is what you want the source client to be. At this point you can select a predefined RFC connection in the drop down for "Source Destination". If it is a valid RFC, it will fill in the source system name and the source client number based on the RFC that was selected. You may have to provide a password if the RFC does not have it supplied.

At this point if you execute, you will copy all the source system/client users to the target system.

Hope this helps

Hi John Visser,

Thank you very much!

I want to use PRD overwrite QAS via SCC9.

And I have created a valid RFC connection for this action.

According to your kindly reply, If I select the profile "SAP_USER", All the the jobs defined in PRD will transport into QAS circumstances, right?

Regards!

No.. If you use profile SAP_USER, Users, user roles and authorization profiles are copied. The client is not reset.

Read this to get more information about the client copy profiles.
