Hi Thom,

I think you are still not clear so try to elaborate more....why SDMJ?

actually this is more optimized regular correction than earlier one.

it is introduced in ST 400 ......SP13 onwards.

Statuses of the validated correction transaction type SDMJ:

1. Status 'In Development'

Allowed: Creation of Workbench or Customizing requests for the development systems of a production system. Test transports, that is transports of copies, may be created and exported. Undoing the transaction.

You cannot export Workbench or Customizing requests.

2. Status 'To Be Tested'

Allowed: Resetting the status of the transaction to 'In Development'.

Undoing the transaction.

Not allowed: Creation of more Workbench or Customizing requests or items for existing Workbench or Customizing requests or test transports.

3.Status 'Consolidated'

Not allowed: Creation of more Workbench or Customizing requests or items for existing Workbench or Customizing requests or test transports.

4.Status 'Live'

Not allowed: Creation of more Workbench or Customizing requests or items for existing Workbench or Customizing requests or test transports.

Checks and actions for status transfer

During the validated correction transaction checks and actions occur repeatedly. After a successful check, an action is automatically executed in the background.

1.-2. Status Transfer 'In Development' -> 'Test'

Check: Are all items of the created workbench or Customizing requests released?

Action: The system generates and exports transports of copies from the workbench or Customizing requests of the transaction.

2.-3. Status Transfer 'Test' -> 'Consolidated'

Check: Have all transports of copies created for the transaction been successfully imported into the first test system? This check therefore requires that the last transports of copies created by the system are imported into the first test system.

Action: All workbench or Customizing requests created for the transaction are exported.

3.-4. Status transfer 'Consolidated'->'Live'

Check: Have all workbench or Customizing requests created for the transaction been successfully imported into the production system?

Also refer to this note......935060

Pls assign pts.

This feature is used in normal correction (SDMJ) for instance. It creates a copy of your current transport which will be imported to QAS without releasing the origin transport request. Main benefit is that transports of copies won't be added to production queue after they had been imported to QAS.

So you will just continue creating new tasks and transport of copies and import into QAS until you get the result you want. After that you are going to release the origin transport, import into QAS (will be added to PRD queue now) and import into PRD.
