Availibity control

Hi Gurus,

Could you pls confirm which type of block makes the order not to take up the availability.

I was under the impression that this "No Confirmation (SOP-block)" made my order visible in the system but did not affect the availability.

Today I needed 24 pcs of X material - which was not available. I entered MD04 and recognized another one of "my orders" - XYZ on top of the list. I knew these were blocked with the SOP-block but I entered the order - "zero confirmed" it and....HEP I got availability on my 24 pcs from the first order.

Kindly coment to resolve if I am missing something.

Hi.

Goto TCode OVZ7. You will see a list of delivery blocks.

All the reasons for which the check box 'Conf. block' is check marked, will not reserve the quantity and you can use those quantities for other sales order. The main reason being that if you use such blocks, you will not get a confirmed qty. in the schedule lines and the stocks would not be reserved.
