Translate Item category

Hi,

Can someone help me to translate the item categories in SD. It is possible for Item category groups, but not for item category.

If you want to grade out the item category then you may have to do modify TVAP table with the help of ABAP'er

Do you mean to say that in VOV7 new item category creation mode -> Go to -> Translation option ??? which is greyed out ???

Yes the translation is greyed out.

Hi,

I really doubt if this Translation Option in VOV7 can be in EDIT mode.. But, as far as I have searched in the system below are the results:

- Go to SE11

- Input 'TVAPT'

- Execute

- Input Item Category

- You'll see the same item category has been maintained in multiple languages

- Same thing is there if you check the tranp. table 'TVAKT' for sales document type, but only thing is that for VOV8 you have the option of 'Translation'

Now, I believe it is SAP standard.. not much I can say about this.

Hi,

I don't know what to do when I'm in the dictionary: maintain table. (transaction SE11 and table TVAPT) When I go to content I can't change or create new item cat in any language.

Discuss with your ABAP'er for my suggestion... but I really doubt if it can be achieved.. but you can give a try..
