Hi
My client has 3 company codes each has its legal entity.
There main area of sales is
1)Domestic Direct sales to customers
2) Exports
3)Spares market to dealers.
Each company has the above sales scenario?
How many sales org do i need to map in sap? for 1 company
please help
regards
One Sales organization for one company code.As a rule you cannot assign the same Sales organization to three different company codes. So u need 3 different Sales organizations to 3 company codes.
Export , domestic and dealers should be defined as distribution channels.

Hi
Since you have three company codes three sales orgs is a must to carry out any sales activities
Depending upon structure what you said i will have three Distribution channels and one division
Defining company codes is FI job
Defining Sales org is our job
We need as many sales orgs as company codes
3 company codes is minimum three sales orgs from S.D point of view
In your morning thread one friend has wrongly told that sales org can be assigned to many company codes under one company(the last post Mr .Guru Mani) which is absolutely wrong
May be this might have confused you
The first thing a SD consultant to know is sales org is uniquely assigned to a company code
First of all Company is different and company code is different
Reliance is the company,
Reliance petrochemical, reliance telecommunication will be different company codes
Under each company code there must be a mininimum one sales org to carry out sales activities

hi,
you may think of the following,
sales organisation : company code itself ( 4 digit) , say ex : C001
Dist channel : DO - for domestic ( DO - domestic - duty paid )
EX - for export
let us put spares also in DO channel as it is a domestic sale
Division : As per the product group , say ex : PG
Now , you may calculate how may SOrg needed,
say for 1 CC , C001/DO/PG
C001/EX/PG
here , as Product group varies , your SOrg will vary .
This way you can calculate further .
