Can anyone start application server by RZ03 on SUSE linux 10 SP1.
SAP version 4.6C SR2 on oracle 10.2.0.2
Note:
RSH disable on all application servers, Only SSH allow.
User <sid>adm configured the ssh connection without password required.
I have found the sapadmpf log generated in work directory fo CI server.
Hello,
rsh is default for running commands remote.
Since rsh is disabled and ssh is enabled (no password prompt)
Change parameter gw/remsh to ssh .
Best regards,
Peter

Hi,
without any information from your logs it is impossible to say what the problem is. At least post the relevant lines from startsap.log, dev_disp, dev_rd, dwv_w0
Thanks,
Hannes

Hi Hannes,
There are no any log generated on application server. (the host name below is not real)
But there are some logs on the CI server which have content below.
/usr/sap/QAS/DVEBMGS00/work/stderr2
app1: Connection refused
/usr/sap/QAS/DVEBMGS00/work/sapadmpf
app1"/" /usr/sap/QAS/SYS/exe/run/sapstart pf=/usr/sap/QAS/SYS/profile/START_D01_app1 &
Thank you,
Eak
Dear Hanns,
Sorry for missing information,
We have migrated SAP from windows platform to SUSE linux platform.
Before migrating we are using transaction RZ03 for starting and stop the application servers.
But after migrated the function start the application servers on RZ03 didn't work (menu -> control-> start SAP instance). Only the stop application server function on RZ03 work (menu -> control-> stop SAP instance).
Please let me know, if I miss any information.
Note: We are using SAP 4.6C SR2 with Kernel patch 2415, Oracle 10.2.0.2 on SUSE linux 10 SP1.
Thanks a lot,
Eak
