Hi everyone!
We want our XI client to point to multiple R/3 clients. Any suggestions on a checklist to add R/3 clients?
We use Idocs and RFC.
Thanks!
It is also worth including all clients of all systems in the SLD(s).
Are you hoping to route different messages to different systems??
I've also setup RFC connections in SM59 for this.

Hi
If you are routing different messages to different clients then you have to add all the clients entries in the SLD. Define the business systems and attach each client to respective business system.
Then duplicate the configuration scenario's, means create receiver determination, interface determination. If you are using BPM import with different name. It is as good as creating the entire scenario from scratch.
You also need to create RFC destination, ports etc for each client and specify in the IDOC /RFC communication channels.
Hope this helps

Thanks for answers. We will send the same messages to the different clients. The system will look exactly like it does today, we will only add a R/3 client.

Hi Rune,
For the new R/3 Client that you want to add...create an SLD entry for the Technical System(if the Tech system is already there, add the new client to the Tech System)...
Create a new bussiness sytem for this new client that we added, make sure that the Logical system name is updated correctly as maintained in the R/3 Client.
Import the new business sytem to the Integration Directory, Create RFC/IDOC comm. channels for this bussiness systems.
Now if you want to add this as a recipient to an existing scenario...Open the receiver Determination for that scenario and add this bussiness system as a receiver.. maintain the interface determination and receiver agreement for this addition and that should be it...
Thanks,
Renjith
Hi Rune,
Look at the transaction 'scc4' to get the various R/3 Clients.
