Problem with SC import

Former Member

Hi,

I try to learn using JDI and start with "Tutorial 2: Development with a Track" (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/de/71/384c4005a99523e10000000a1550b0/content.htm).

I have created SC in SLD and track in CMS. But now I have problem with importing SAP-JEE, SAP_BUILDT and SAP_JTECHS components. I have copied sca files into CMS inbox directory, in transport studio (tab check-in) selected all and checked-id,then could I start import in import tab (i have selected all and pressed Import button). All components are in status "import running", I have waiting few hours, but status not changed to "import completed".

Can anybody tell me what is a reason of that and what can I do to repair that?

Regards

Bogdan

Hi Bogdan,

This problem has been discussed quite a number of times in the forum. You should first unlock the currently running imports and start the imports one by one.

Also please search the forum for more details. You will find notes which tell you some settings to make.

Thanks and regards

Hi Sidharth,

thx for u answer. I read few threads and:

- i have verified JDI settings - i have found no mistakes,

- i have checked db - enough place,

- i have deleted all entries in import tab and check in it again

- I have edited my buildspace in CBS and changed status to open

- I have started import for only one sc

but that still not work

What more can I do?

Hi Bogdan,

You can try stopping the CBS service and starting it again. Then try to check if the imports are running fine.

Also you can check the TCS Deployer and see if it is working properly.

Hi Sidharth,

follow your suggestion, I have restarted CBS (in Visual administrator), checked tcs (Heartbeat Check

Return value of heartbeat check: O.K.) and again start import. I am afraid, that still don't work

Hi,

I have found solution:) Reason was wrong value of parameter idleStart (true) in CBS component confuguration. After set it to false import work:)

Thanks everybody for help.

How did the old value (true) get there in the first place?

Hi Bogdan.

I was reading your forum and think I have the same problem.

Where exactly is that flag? I can get to the CBS, but still can not find it.

Thanks,

Hi Sandro,

start Visual Admin, connect to your engine, navigate to the Component Build Service in the treeview on the left. On the right side you should see the service properties listed at http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/b5/7a5e4088dc0272e10000000a155106/frameset.htm
