Hi Everybody,
There is a problem when try to monitor the messages from SXMB_MONI and the Gui takes lot of time to respond and sometimes even time out occurs.
Is there any setting which we need to do?
Can somebody help me out on this?
Helpful answers will be rewarded points.
Thanks,
RK
Hi Harald,
The humungous amount of messages hitting XI was the cause.
However, it came to our knowledge that it was chiefly caused due to increasing size of the PI switch tables.
We were recommended to apply SAP note 1020260, and the problem is solved.
Appreciate your support.
Regards,
Ibrahim

Hi Harald,
I have a similar problem as encountered by Rupash..the strange thing is the SXMB_MONI takes a humungous time to respond and sometimes throws error..but this happens only in the production. in contrast the same transaction in quality and development is extremely swift..
could you elucidate on the same...
Request SDN experts throw some light on the above.
Regards,
Tauseef

Dear Rupash,
there is a known performance issue coming with PI7.0 SP14. This issue is fixed as of SP16 and for SP14-15 there is an advanced correction provided in OSS note 1157531. You might want to check this note, too, as that performance issue might lead to a time out as well.

Hi,
This happens because of high load on the system. You can check in tcode SM50 , thre must be some archiving or deletion job is running in Background Dialogue processes on table SXMSPMAST and other data tables.Check this is the one reason, otherwise if you have switched on deletion procedure then it happens.
Thanks!

Hi,
Runtime time out error happens in cases when there is more number messages to be listed for the date and time period you have choosen or when the message payload size is too large.
Try to do cache refresh.
kindly go through Timeouts from page no 36 in the following link:
hope this helps.

Hi Rupash,
try to reduce the time span in the selection screen of SXMB_MONI which includes even date and even try to refresh cache
Thanks
