Hi,

IS-U/CCS and Utilities technical consultant role is more or less same as any other SAP technical but as most of us say Functional knowledge for technical consultant is very much an added advantage.

Typically role for IS-U/CCS and Utilities technical consultant would be

- Expertise in ABAP programming, more on the enhancement(user exits, BADIs, events etc) and configuration side unlike report program. This would include BOR and OO ABAP.

- some basic functional knowledge is pretty much required, atleast data model and data creation knowledge is necessary. One could learn basics in very short time.

It is really depends on what level the candidate is getting in to ISU project, what level of experiance he/she has etc.

As others said, it's mainly the same work as in good ol' R/3.

One majorly different component: the print workbench, with works in a different way than SAP script and such.

Hi;

Technical consultant can work anywhere only difference is tables, some tools like print work bench and the transaction code. Since ISU is a component as superposition on R/3 so along with R/3 , an additional component would be available for industry specific solution.
