How to perform a System Copy?

Any idea to perform a quick and easy system copy of a SAP XI 2.0 SR1 stand-alone SAP DB?

It is usually required in order to change server (same platform but different hostname and IP Address) or to create a PRD system from the QAS one.

It seems an interesting challange...

With XI3.0 SP14, SAP offers a system copy.

Please see details in note : 785848 " Hom./Het.System Copy SAP Web AS 6.40 SR1 Java " .

Actually the XI3.0 System Copy is still in pilot phase After some successful pilots there will be the 'general availability' .

The guide for the system copy can be found on the service Marketplace under :

http://service.sap.com/instguidesNW04 --> Installation --> SAP Web AS --> SAP Web AS 6.40 SR1 and Related Documentation --> Homogeneous and Heterogeneous System Copy --> Homogeneous and Heterogeneous System Copy for SAP Systems based on SAP Web AS Java 6.40 SR1

Hie Sergio,

there is actually no proven procedure for an XI System Copy. The best way is to reinstall XI new and then transport the XI content.

RIG Internally we done some system copies during RKT for XI2.0, but this is not for customer usage, and we cannot commit that it works properly, therefore we can not over this to customers.
