How to make UDFs reusable

Hi all,

How do you make user-defined mapping functions reusable across multiple interfaces? I know that there's a way to save the code somewhere and create UDFs per interface that simply call the code.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Hi Daniel,

I dont know which version of XI/PI you are working with but with the 7.1, they have provided with this functionality to reusable UDF's which u can use in any mapping program just like you do for other standard function provided by SAP.

This can be done in 2 ways:

1. "Function" tab in message mapping.

2. Creating an object of "Function Library" (which is the part of mapping objects).

Hi,

if you are talking about XI 3.0 or PI 7.0 you can add the udf to a mapping template and then reuse this template.
