Hi Amber,

Could you please suggest what may be the reason for getting this error ?

The errors you encounter indicate that the problem lies in the

underlying network layer. This error is network error or due to the load on the server refusing the connect from the server. Connection to gateway could not be established. Normally this is because a RFCs resource lack or connect

time-out.

What needs to be cheked from Basis side?

1.increase the parameter rdisp/max_gateways to 200.

2.Also check if your /etc/services files have the correct entries.

3. Set the below parameters if your release is below 700.

gw/cpic_timeout = 1800

gw/gw_disconnect = 0

4. And also check the notes..590929, 559119, 34116

Hope it resolves your issue.

Thanks

Hi Abmer,

First of all goto SM59 and check the RFC connection.

Check the test connection.

By the way check in the command prompt have you given correct gateway path or not...

What is the path you are using.....

Thanks...Sudheer.

Hello Sudheer,

Thanks for your reply.

Is there any specific RFC which needs to be checked which is responsible for gateways ?

I checked for SID100 rfc it is working fine.

Hi Amber,

As kishore said, check the details given by him and more do u have any idea that any gateway command is given in ur command prompt.

Normally while using some RFC's we use to have a command typed in command prompt some thing like c:/>xyz -a xy -g hostname -x sapgw00

Normally the command for gateway look like this...

So I am asking you that do u use this command..

Normally for this type of gateway only the problem specified by you will occur.

Thanks & Regards,

Sudheer.
