Hi Experts,
Our SAP systems are running on MSSQL2005. I have to prepare backup strategy to tape device from DB13.
Kindly provide me the documentation/link for more details about DB13 backup for SQL2005.
Regards,
Amit.
Good Practice.
1. Hourly T-Log Backup.
2. Daily Online Backup.
3. Weekly Offline Backup.

You can use Tivoli Data Protection(TDP) for SQL or any other third party tool for backup. This will ease your job and it is automated.
If you donot want to use Third party tool then backup can be configured from DB13 or from SQL Server Configuration Manager.
For production system which has high availability the backup strategy should be....
1. Daily Online Backup
2. Hourly T Log backup (For BI system T Log backup should be taken in every 30 mins)
3. Search for an outage where you can take Offline backup.
