Hi,
At present in the Sales Order change (VA02) mode the authorized users are
able to make changes in the field Delivery Block in TAB Sales.
We want to restrict the users at the Userid level so that only specified
users have the access permission to change the field Delivery Block.
Can you pls pls help me on this.
Best Regards,
Murali.M
Hi murali
Go to transaction variants SHD0 and give the t.code VA02 and check with the business object type BUS2032 and make the delivery block field from optional to disable .So that once you go to VA02 the delivery block field will be in disable mode and nobody can change it

Hi Srinath,
We have checked in the t-code SHD0 where we are given the VA02 but there it is not asking the object type, it is asking the Transaction Variant,
kindly let us know where we have to check the object type and also how we can restrict the user specific.
pls give us the more details .
Thanks &Regards,

Dear Murali,
If the requirement is:
We want to restrict the users at the Userid level so that only specified
users have the access permission to change the field Delivery Block.
I doubt, Screen Variant (T. Code: SHD0), will ful-fill the purpose. As, this Screen variant will applicable to all users. Its not like that for some, you are using Sandard Variant, and for some customized-one.
Instead, my suggestion is to focus on to "Status Object".
Best Regards,
Amit
Dear Murali
Two options are there
- Since you said that userid wise you want the control, with the help of basis, you can control but with that control, the transaction code itself (VA02) can be made as non accessible.
- on the other hand, if you want to hide a particular field only, with the help of screen variant (TCode shd zero), you can control. For more information on this, check this link

Dear Murali,
Please refer to my first reference, in my previous post, in to this thread.
It has a detailed discussion about Status Profile.
Once gone-through, If something specific comes in to your mind, Please do update
Best Regards,
Amit
Note: some points to remember:
1. Status profile has to be assigned to object type (by the system administrator).
2. The user must have the authorization to set an application status.
