Does anyone know where I can get information on the compatibility between SRM 4.0 & ECC 6.0? I search SAP website and came up empty. Does anyone know if SRM 4.0 can work with ECC 6.0?

Yes, I would say it is compatible with your existing implementation.
Upgrade would be suitable, when needed.

Per your response, that would mean than SRM4.0 is Unicode standard and can read/generate UTF-8 unicode files?
Do you know of any online resource that I can read up more on this topic?
