PPDS heuristic is not generating receipt element for particular type of req

For a particular type of sales order the required quantity is not appearing in the REC/REQ quantity column of /SAPAPO/RRP3 screen - element Tab.

But the quantity is appearing in the Requested Quantity - Column.

As a result heuristic is not considering the requirement and not creating the receipt element

Can anybody suggest what is the problem?

Kindly verify the requirement strategy maintained in the product master. For the requirement strategy mentioned in the Product master, make sure that appropriate value is maintained for 'Assignment Mode' in SPRO (Requirements Strategy).

Please check the planning procedure of this particular product. Whether Requested quantity is relevant for pegging or Confirmed quantity.

Hi Mridul

The req. e.g FA , BM categories would have been created using /sapapo/sjktst04. These requirements are only created in live cache and are not valid for consumption and total demand macros. just see if the sales order that you see in the interactive planning is added to total demand or not. Also see if this requirement is pegged to any receipt.

If this was the problem, then yuo can created the sales order in ECC and go ahead. things shd work fine then.
