How to Set the Visibility of a field in ESS Address view through portal

Hi experts,

I want to set the visibility of a field in ESS Address view through portal.How to edit a field through portal? Please help me with procedures to be followed..

Hi,

Login to portal with Content Administrator role. Navigate to your ivew undre content Administration-->Portal Content->.... to the view. Open the view in the priview mode and then ctrl+rightclik on the field that you want to make invisible and save the changes.

Hi,

Login to portal with a user having content administration role.

Navigate to your iview which must be under content provide by SAP(if its a standard iview).

Open the iview and click on preview button.

Then press ctr on keyboard and rightmouseclick on the field for which you want to change.

A popup will open. Change the visibility in the popup and save the changes. This is a way of personalization and it'll be applicable for all the users.

Or you can control the visibility of the field in the webdynpro application ..in the view -> wddomodifyview() method....

what is the procedure to make some fields to be VISIBLE on ESS Address View? Do we need any backend configuration or we need to modify the WebDynpro? Please advice.

hi,

ctrl+right mouse click on the field , u will get a pop up from there u can hide the fields u want.
