Hello Friends,
Recently i am experiencing a strange problem.when i launch my WD applicaion,i am missing all the Meta data in the application.
MY application uses adaptive RFC Bapi using JCO connections.
I have just upgrade my J2EE,NWDS to SP15.I have rebuild the project.
J2EE engine is restarted.Still having the problem.
I also checked if my Jco desdination configuration in sync with Model Instance logical system.Everything is okay.
Please help me to find what am i missing ?.
Hi Baskaran ,
Have u upgraded your server also to the same patch level as of NWD Studio.?. same service pack.
J2EE has to be the same SP level of studio.
u can download the latest evaluation server from
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/downloaditem?rid=/library/uuid/cfc19866-0401-0010-35b2-dc8158247fb6

Hi Bhaskaran,
can u paste the stack trace u r getting while accessing the Application..
for getting metadata information , we are using the message server.
just check the meta data and model data connection parameters .. (meta data and model data must be from
the same serve) .just check it.
have you entered the message service and port mappings in service file ?.
just go through this help regarding WebDynpro Content Administrator guide.
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/documents/a1-8-4/how to use the web dynpro content administrator.pdf
plz paste the error stack trace..

Hi Kishor,
Can you explain me how to get the stack trace while accessing the application.
We also use message server for metadata .metadata and application data are from the same server.
I havent change anything regarding message service and port mappings in service file ?. B.t.w i also dont know where to check them.
Regarding wdContent adminstration guide,i have them all and i have been creating and changing JCo connections`a lot.I am not seeing any bottle neck there.
Hi Bhaskaran,
u can see the logs correspoding to your application in the server location..
\usr\sap\<sid>\<instance_number>\j2ee\cluster\server0\
i think ur application folder will be there inside this or within one subdirectory here.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/fe/4f5542253fb330e10000000a155106/content.htm
U can check the service entries in services file which is located in
<Drive Name>:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc...
but normally in JCO Connection test , if it is not showing errors(especially MetaData) , then it means this entry is there in the services file.

Hi Kishor,
There is no specific application log in server node.i have seen this places for all sort of traces and logs. But i couldnt find anything significant.
I think ,this is something else.I am not sure if my J2EE sap dictionary runtimes are good.I am going to check them out, also i am going to check my JCo connection with some other user-id.I shall keep you posted.
Anyway thanks for your attention and help.
Hi Kishor,
Problem solved.I shall descripe what i have done.
1.using sdm Gui undeployed my project.
2.import new configuration from SLD.
3.created new project
4.Sync sources(select all)
5.Restart J2EE engine
6.Deployed project
7.I have changed my browser language from English to Dutch.
It seems to me that point 7 alone enough to solve my problem becoz my backend RFC system connection is in Dutch. My virual machine default is English,my user language is in english and since my browser language was also in english i get no localization texts. Now i have changed my browser language to dutch and it works fine.
Thanks for your attention and help.
