Getting IDOC number in Alert Email

Hi.

I don't even know if this is possible.

We have an Alert Category set up that emails a group of people when an IDOC fails mapping. The generated email has all the usual info, like Namespace and Sender Interface etc. but thats no good for Business Users who just want to know which IDOC failed mapping so they can fix it.

So is there any way of getting the IDOC number into the Alert Email?

You would have the idoc number in payload in some field like DOCNUM. You may use thid payload data as some value of alert variable.

Is using BPM the only way to do it? The interface I'm using doesn't use BPM.
