Deliver item Categories.

Dear All,

We Know That Delivry Item Categories are copies from the Sales order,

Now Suppose If we change the Delivery Item Categories Determination Then Which one will have Precedence. In T-code: O184

The Sales Order Item Categories or the Delivery Item categories Determiantion.

Please explain

In normal circumstances, system will give preference to preceding document, which means, when you create delivery referencing sale order, item category from sale order will only flow.

However, this can be changed according to your requirement. For that go to OVLK, select your delivery document type and execute. There under the tab "Order Reference", for the field "Order required", if you maintain "X", it will consider sale order; if you maintain blank, it will consider 0184.

Of course, VOV4 settings will be applicable to copy control VTLA and 0184 is applicable to VTFL

Delivery item category is not copied from sales order

It is determined by Delivery doc type,item category group fro MMR ,and uasge if set

The only difference is the item cat of higher level is not there for determination of delivery item categories

Item category determination in sales order and delivery are different process by the system according to certain rules and certainly not copies as understood by you

In Logistics execution you can see all these
