Oracle Patch

Hi,

Can anyone let me know, how to apply oracle patch & Bug fix. We have ECC5 , on unix with Database system ORACLE & Release 9.2.0.6.0. I have to apply the oracle Patch.

Kindly guide me step by step and also the reason for applying oracle path.

Hai,

You can find the step by step procedure starting from Prerequisites to Post installtion in the Oracle patch.html which you will get with the files which you download from Service market place.

It shows all the scripts as well which needs to be run after your Patching.

As per Mahesh the note 578683 provides enough information for step by step guide to install oracle patches.

Reason for applying: as you said in your question itself, its a bug fix released by oracle then and there...
