R/3 installation on Unix:oracle database

I'm trying to do an r/3 installation on unix,oracle database.my current system is 4.0b.i've copied all the required cd's on disk but i keep experiencing the following error...i dont know what to do from here..please help...thanks in advance.

Thanks for your assistance. I'm fairly new to SAP hence I have limited knowledge. I followed the installation manual and they asked me to log on as root to proceed with the installation, and I was under the impression that root has rights for the path I'm trying to access.

Sounds to me like the user you are logged in do not have enough rights for the path the CD's are copied, or maybe that you copied the incorrect discs... check the LABEL.ASC on the root of the discs and make sure is the same that the installation is requesting

Remember <sid>adm user must have enough rights
