Mobile 7.1 on PI 7.1?

Hi,

we recently have installed a PI 7.1 (SP06). For me it seems all the components necessary for a MI 7.1 system (transactions, WebDynpros, tables,...) are availabe within it, is that correct? Or would it be necessary to install a dedicated system with usage-type MI to use the full functionality?

Hi NOrbert,

usually you are right, the transactions are already there. I am not 100% sure about the Portal stuff necessary to run the Administrator. But that one you can simply install from the MI7.1 download CD directly.

The only reason why a dedicated server is recommended is the workload of an MI system and to avoid any issues with other systems. For testing purposes it is fine to run both scenarios on the same machine. But be aware that this is nothing I would recommend for a live scenario.
