Hi Vikram,

WWI is the concept for developing most of the reports in EHS; practical examples are MSDS doc, incident reports, injury reports and other regulatory reports can be developed and generated using wwi.

Hi Vikram,

In EH&S there are no standard forms as in other SAP modules. Here you can create report templates for Material safety Data sheet, Standard Operating procedures etc. and using report generation varient you can generate language independent reports through Windows Wordprocessor Integration (WWI) program. You can use symbols of various symbol types to define the layout of your reports. The link between report templates and report generation variants enables you to generate reports .

EHS requirements vary from country to country even state to state, whatever ALV reports mentioned above are part of the shipment with standard ehs. If customer wants more reports - say REPORT for BANNED SUBSTANCES ( in case of California) then you require creating new reporting. For this creation you can either use ABAP functionality or another dedicated EHS functionality called WWI Server (WINDOWS WORDPROCESS INTEGRATION) can be used. For generation of reports using WWI - you require templates and generation variants. Generally when vanilla systems are installed - you do not find any templates or generation variants, which you have to adopt to suit client requirements. Alternatively such readymade templates are available from 3rd party content Servers (Ariel for example). For some modules namely DG if you need to generate DG Document - you create the same using SAP Scripts. So it all depends on the client and the timelines and expertise available during the project.
