Adapter Framework

HI All

I was reading following sap help

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/fd/16e140a786702ae10000000a155106/content.htm

I have few doubts in the same

1) Why we are using JCA 1.0 if JCA 1.5 is available. Is this a constraint of PI 7.1?

2)Why Adapter framework logging u2013 utilises a J2SE library rather than JCA 1.0 interface

Regards

Hi,

If you go through several contracts provided in JCA 1.5 ,These are already provided by the AS to follow synchronisation of custom as well as already present adapters.

for e.g.Like life cycle management contract

The life cycle management contract allows the application server to manage the life cycle of the resource adapter. It provides a mechanism for the application server to start and shutdown an instance of the resource adapter. It also allows the resource adapter to be notified during undeployment and orderly shutdown of the application server.

So this could be one of the reason may be.
