WAS Java startup page is not displaying

Hi,

I restarted my XI3.0 Instance, (on Win2000/SQL2000) and although my MMC shows the server as started (Green), my WAS Java does not seem to be up.

The url http://xi.xyz.com:50000/ and http://xi.xyz.com:50000/rep/start/index.jsp, both shows 'Page Cannot be found' error.

Also Im not able to logon to the SAP J2EE Visual Administrator. On entering the password it shows: 'Cant open port 50004'.

Please help.

Regards,

Shobhit

Hello Shobhit,

sounds like if the J2EE Engine isn't started.

You can restart the the engine using transaction smicm in the abap stack, administration - j2ee engine - restart - yes.

Check the j2ee log file /usr/sap/<sid>/<instance>/work dev_server0, std_server0.out for errors. Maybe an out of memory error occurred.

Check, if the parameter rdisp/j2ee_start in the instance profile has the value 1. If the value is 0, then the engine won't be started automatically.

Rgds.,
