Print out issue in PO

Hi Everybody,

I have an issue in Printing Purchase order in my Production system. Earlier we used to take PO Printout only in DOT Matrix printer. Now as per the requirement, they have designed for Laser printer as well. The thing is, while giving print out this particular Laser print is not coming as i have already set default Printer as Dot Matrix in SU01.

Can we assign two printers as Default Printer?how can i give solution for this from Basis side.

This is Basically a problem of ABAPer, now, they found this and rectified

For assigning printers for taking PO printouts, you can make use of the transaction MN05.

No you can't, you either print on the dot-matrix printer or change the device type in SPAD so you can print in the laser one.

Laser printout is working unless i aggisn anything as Default Printer in su01. If i assign any printer there, im not able 2 take print out in Laser. My functional consultant asking me not to assign any Default printer to resolve this problem.

But as a Basis consultant i can not accept this as a solution because most of the time the end user will use Dot matrix printer. If i am not assiging anything in SU01(Default Printer), everytime the end user should select the printer manually.

Hi,

Then don't asign any defualt printer, let the end use choose which printer he want to use,

or use a front end printer and set it as default printer.

Mr Vamshi,

as i have already mentioned, most of the time end users will take printout only in Dot matrix unless i assign, they should manually select printer all the time which is not advicable.

It does not create any spool request.

Im selecting printer from the 'Print Options' in me23n
