server restart

i am new in unix.but we are using hp unix and ecc 6.0 with oracle.

we are using three system landscape with san.

If some one say that just restart the sap server.

So plesae tell me step by step how i restart my sap server. mean witch login ?

how i check that my cluser is up or down?

Raj,

no offense - but I would highly recommend attending an OS and DB class first before doing any harm to the system.

Running a production cluster environment is not something that can and should be supported through a public forum. You may do harm to the system because each cluster is set up in a different kind and there is no general advise on how to safely reboot a cluster (or a node in it).
