Hi all,

I'm doing file-to-File scenario. I designed and configure the scenario but it is not picking up file from source directory.

I'm facing following doubts when I'm doing this..

1)SLD.

I created two products , two components, two techinacl system, two business systems for sender file and receiver file system.

Could anyone clarifies what system name and hostname i should give (I'm using remote server, but trying pickup files from my desktop and placing file to one of my comuter directory only I gave my system name and host name for both)

2)IR

I designed and executed , mapping also working fine..

Is there any impact of activating each step in IR or else shall i activate after completing whole design..

3)ID

Creating Business service?

Do i need to create two business services and teo communication channel under each one?

or

Sender service with two comm channnels one is receiver and one is sender?

In receiver agreement , in receiver section do i need to use sender service or receiver service.

In receiver determinatiion , in configured receiver section shall i use sender service or receiver service

As a whole I got one doubt in all the sections of ID shall i use sender Business service.

If any one gives clear clarification these fundamental doubts I may not ask in future.

I will just try answering your questions with the experience I have with the same.

There is no problem at all in what you have done…but just for your knowledge, you can also use the same business system as the sender and receiver….anyways to answer all your questions regarding SLD, Please go thru the following links.

There is absolutely no problem in activating then in either ways…you can either do it step by step or after completing the whole design based on your comfort level.

Here since you have created 2 business systems you need to just import your business systems rather than creating 2 new business services.

And you just need one communication channel under each. Under the sender business system have the sender communication channel and under the receiver business system have the receiver communication channel….please go thru the following links and clear all your doubts.

Hi Venu,

If you have created two business systems as sender and receiver, then you dont have to create any business services for the transfer.

Just assign both business systems in your scenario(ID) and create one comm channel in each systems and Enable the channels.

Youl will have to specify the IP Address of this local machine, along with the shared folder in which the file is accessible. One thing oy should also make sure is that this folder is accessible from your XI server.

There is no such impact, but it is a good practise to activate every step one at a time.

Sender service with two comm channnels one is receiver and one is sender?</i>Either is acceptable. if your create 2 business service with a communication channel in either, then one will act as the sender and the other as the reciver. Also, your sender and receiver agreement willhabve to contain the corresponding business service.

if you create one service, then both channels are under the same service and your sender/ receiver agreemenmt will contain the same service.

Hi all,

Thank u very much.

I have designed the scenario as follows.

1) I have created 2 Technical systems (F1, F2), 2 business systems(F1BS, F2BS).

2)Used F1 for mapping program

3) designed and tested mapping also working fine.

NOTE: I have taken F1, F2 as two diffrent namespaces.

1) I have configured the scenario as follows.

Created one business service by F1BS and created two communication channels one is sender communication channel(File adapter as sender), 2nd comm chanel as receiver(File adapter)

2)created further steps properly..sender agreement, receiver agreement, receiver determination and interface determination ,

Testing: Sender adapter is up and running, but receiver adapter is not running yet.

Problem: Even if I give 600 secs file adaper is running with 600,000 secs.

Could any one give any idea about this problem.

Hi,

Are you able to get messages in SXMB_MONI transaction ? If so check that all the Mapping is executed successfully. And also check the status of File Adapter in Adapter Monitoring in the RWB. If it is green and then try to monitor in the Message Monitoring(MDT) of RWB. Then you can get exact problems.

And one more thing about your scenario.

You can create only one namespace for your entire scenario. And create all your objects under that. And in the Directory, assign your Business System to the Configuration Scneario, which you have already created. Otherwise you create Business Service and add your Message Interfaces explicitly into the Business Service.

Totally Business System is logical entity specific to the Physical Systems but Business Service is an Abstract Entity.

Thanks for ur response.

I'm able to see sender adapter is working and receiver adapter is also up and running but file is not picking up.

Even i configured sender adapter as 600 secs it is showing running 600,000 secs.

and showing outbound and inbound interface is same as outbound interface.

I have used inbound interface from second namespace.

Created two communication channels under one business system in first namespace.

Hi all,

Sender adapter is working fine and picked the file and contents.

Receiver adapter is up and running but is not picked up yet.

Errormessage: archiveReadMessageError

I just running mapping test xml file , whether i should delete the header or just place as it is.

Hi Venu,

Just copy the XML source from the Message Mapping test and put it into your file and it should work fine.

You need not delete the header from your source.

Hi Bhavesh,

Send and receiver adapter both are showing running status.

By seeing msg in SXMB_MONI

i observed following things.

1)status waiting

2)error message

Communication failure during JCO call

RFC destination AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER does not exist.
