Hi All,
the item texts z003,z007,z008 are maintained in NL,FR,DE,EN languages for va03 transaction...
but the output type language is FR
even then my client wants it to be printed accordingly,,
for example if the output type language is FR ,, i can only print FR not DE,EN,NL lanaguages
is there any other way to print any language irrespective of the language maintained in the output type
Thanks
John

in your text GENERAL ATTRIBUTES use the language parameter
Text Name &GV_A&
Text Object TEXT
Text ID ST
Language &CONTROL_PARAMETERS-LANGU&
Std paragraph ST

Hi john,
If you want to print irrespective of the language maintained in
smartform, set nast-spras in your form by hard coding it to the
langauge that you always need.
you may be getting that structure in the form interface of your
form.

Hi John,
So ur problem is that if a text maintained in languages DE and EN in VA03 then on the output, if the output language is DE, the text should be printed in DE only. And if say the output language is FR, and sine no text is maintained in FR language, nothing should be printed.
It should be possible though to use EN as the default language for a text, if not found in the output language, with some coding in the print program. U will then need to check each and every text u r printing in the output - if it exists in Output Langauge, and if not check if it exists in default langauge EN, and accordingly set the Text ID, Text Type - Header or Item Text and the corresponding Language found in an internal table which can be passed to /used in the sapscript/smartform. This way u will have a table of all possible texts to be printed and the corresponding language to be used to print it. By looping at this table u should be able to print exact texts.

Ajay
