On our cluster env running on Solaris 5.9 / Oracle 9.2.0.7, the SAP BW system went down and the failover taking place with Oracle Instance starting (force) , error in the trace is as below
error 19502 detected in background process
ORA-19502:write error on file "/oracle/SID/sapdata1/system_1/cntrl/cntrlSID.dbf", blockno2579 (blocksize=8192)
ORA-27069: skgfdisp: attempt to do I/O beyond the range of the file
What could be the cause of this error, can I have your thoughts please
Are you using Sun Cluster? What filesystem is that file residing on (QFS?)
