Compiling programs several times

Hello,

we've same transactions in the system that after executing several times, it's compiling again. I've resize the abap/buffersize (900.000), and I didn't install new Support Package, or update kernel, .....

so, you are saying that you go into, let's say DBACOCKPIT once, it compiles, then you go out and go back in it and it compiles the same objects again?

HAve you tried to run SGEN to compile everything?

Yes, we executed sgen after the instalation.

Hi,

Do you have several processor achitectures on your system ?

On our systems, we can see this behaviour because our CI is running on Itanium processors and the DI servers are running on x86 servers.

Our solution is to run SGEN twice : once for each different processors.

Is it compiling EVERY time that you call the transaction?

I currently have an issue where certain transactions compile the first time that they are called each day. I have a full SGEN running at the moment.
