RFC program id error

Former Member

Hi,

I created same same ProgramID in Receiver Adapter(XI), and RFC destination(SAP).

When I test it, it gives me the following error:

"<u>Error opening an RFC connection.

Error: Program is not registered.

Return code is 679.

Subrc 0</u>.

I activated all my stuff in Designer and builder, but no use. Please help to resolve this.

Thanks-in-advance.

Raj.

Hi Raj,

If you are doing RFC>XI>Non-SAP, You have to create Sender RFC Adapter and have the PROGRAM ID in the Program ID field. In Tr. Code SM59 of R/3, You have to create RFC Destination of type "T" and the program ID you specified here should be same as the Program ID in Sender RFC Adapter. Make sure you specify the gateway options in the RFC Destination.

Also, refer to this thread.

Sam,

I did everything exactly what you mentioned. I followed Michal's doc, and nothing seems wrong.

Still i get the error.

Thanks for your quick response.

Hi Raj,

Change the Program ID and try it again.

Make sure your gateway option are correctly specified.

Hi Raj,

If your backend R/3 system is a unicode system, make sure you check the unicode checkbox on the Sender adapter. In R/3, Edit your RFC Destination and go to "special options" tab see if the Unicode Radiobutton is selected.
