How to assign existing WBS below a new one in ERP

Dear all, please help.

Is it possible to reassign existing WBS element to new project definition?

Have you done that in a not standart way?

There are costs already collected on that WBS element.

Please suggest.

once costs are posted it is best to create a new WBS and settle all the costs from the old one

There are a greate number of WBS elements to be restructured.

So I want to restructure them in a simple way. It means that I want to transfer WBS element from structrure of one project definition to structure of another projet definition together with cost on it.

I do not believe that there is any short cut

You just have to do this for all the WBS - steps would be as follows -

create the new WBS (can use LSMW)

enter settlement rule on the old WBS (can use LSMW)

run settlement (suggest collective)

I have an idea of assigning WBS elements to new project definition in a not standart way.

I want to change project definition directly in PRPS (field PSPHI - current project definition) by ABAP program.

I think that will be a simple way of project restructuring in one step.

May such approach cause problems?
