Hi Experts,
Can we create a flat data file in R3 system & then upload this file in XI system, if so then can you please give me the details.
Thanks & Regards,
Amit
Hi,
For sending R3 data to XI the best posible way is using proxy/IDOC or RFC,but if u need to send a file to XI then u have to configure the file adapters and pick up the file from R3 application directory.
let me know what is ur requirement.
search on SDN for more details about scenarios.

Hi Amit
You can create file from ABAP program easily if thats the requirement. You can pick the file from R/3 system using FTP on file adapter. If its a cluster environment NFS can also work
Moreover
upload this file in XI system
Pi will bring the file from R/3 and generate output. Its not intended to store the data.
What exactly is the requirement let us know to help you with the best possible option
Thanks
Gaurav

Hi,
You can load a file in specific path ( which can be viewed by using AL11 transaction) by means of simple report. Then mention the path where the file got downloaded in File adapter (NFS).

Hi Amit,
Configure the File adapter with NFS protocol to get the file from XI.
