First thing to do is see what the server is doing. In windows view the services in the Task Manager and in Unix run the 'top' command. Secondly, see what is running within the application server by running SM50.

Hope that helps.

Remember the most important is to check Database performance as this is the most common cause of problems (wrong parameters, no statistics, etc), then use the ST02 to look for problems in buffers, ST03N is very usefull to look where is the bottleneck. Have you asked for an Early Watch session ? That is usefull and it is paid with the license so use it.

Could you write some more about your environment like HW capacity, cluster or not, SAN, DB size and so?

Hi,

You have to tell me what is the configuration of your system. And for that answer the below question,

1) How many application server are attached?

2) Your system is ABAP or JAVA or ABAP+JAVA?

3) How many users are connecting to the system at the same time(Approx)?

4) How many dialog work process are defined in each application server?

5) What is the RAM size of your system

Please answer the following question then I can give you some performance tuning suggestion.

Thanks,

Sudip...
